Bailey's 2nd Birthday

Bailey turned two on March 11 :) Everyone always says: "I can't believe it has been (blank #) years--and it went by so fast!" I couldn't agree more...and since this is my online "journal" I want to talk about Bailey and write down some of the cute and unique things about her so I can remember later on.

1. She never says just "yes" or "no"...instead she will respond "no, not yet" or "yes yet" so if I ask her if she is ready to go night night then she usually will say "no, not yet" or if I ask her if she wants to go to the park she says, "yes yet" it's so funny:)

2. She is now the queen of stalling--she will think up any excuse possible to stall or keep from going to bed or doing something she doesn't want to do. "I have to go potty again" or she'll hold up her little pointer finger and say, "just one more minute"

3. She has a "Skip" to her run and it looks more like she's galloping really fast.

4. She loves teddy grahams and calls them "cracker bears"

5. She loves to be outside ALL the time--thank goodness we live in Cali and the weather is nice most of the year for my sake. She'll go outside to play rain or shine--cold or hot.

6. She has to sleep with her "blanket", bear, pooh bear, and "big duck"--so her crib is packed with all these things whenever she goes to bed

7. She has a special game she plays with her dad that she calls "dark blanket" where they get on our bed and play peek-a-boo in the covers.

8. Like most kids she is obsessed with macaroni & cheese and chicken nuggets and so i have to try to make these favorite dishes as healthy as possible since she eats them so often! (like adding peas and veggies to Annie's organic whole wheat mac and cheese or buying whole grain nuggets, etc)

There are so many other things that crack me up about her, but it's so fun being her mom. She keeps me on my toes and we're close buds:) She always has to be doing what I am doing even if it's as boring as folding clothes, making the bed, dishes, or gardening. I love the little one so much and am grateful to have her in my life :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY Lil' BAILERS

We had a "Wiggles Party" since Bailey is obsessed with them at the moment:) All the Cunningham clan came to help celebrate and then the following weekend we had the Whitneys come up and celebrate my birthday (and Bailey's again--the lucky girl got two parties!) It was fun to have another smaller family party this year--like last year. I think next year I'll try to tackle a bigger party with all her little friends:) I'll post pics of the second party (with the Whitneys) in the next post.

We spent the day at the Sacramento Zoo before going home to party:)

Bailey and her cousin Peytenn

This is how we all looked or felt after a fun day at the zoo :)

She always falls asleep "mid-book"

The Wiggles Party!
Carissa and Mom C helped me decorate the community center to look a little more appealing:) lol our apartments have a big community center that is available to any resident for free and it's right next to our apartment as well as the park. We also reserved the bouncy house for everyone to bounce in. It was also Bailey's cousin's (Peytenn) first birthday:)

Various Winter Activities

Even mild California has a winter season too:) And although it's generally very mild (recently about 70 degrees) we get some chilly and rainy days here and there; and on those wet days we go on various adventures or just chill at home.

Outings and Adventures:

Trip to the Jelly Belly Factory

Trip to the California State Railroad Museum in Sacramento

Trip to the Duck Pond

We like to ride our bike over to the duck pond in th beautiful arboretum on campus (where she had her fall pictures done). She loves to feed them bread and chase them into the water--but what toddler doesn't? :)

Hiking

Even in the rain it's not too cold to go for a nice hike around the green hills and creeks around Lake Barryessa only a half hour away:) Bailey was a little trooper and set the pace for most of the hike! She loves to be outdoors getting dirty ,splashing in puddles, and exploring.

The "Just Chillin'" at home sorta days:

Dancing Sugar Plum Fairy

Reliving the old "bumbo" days

Every once in awhile she drage out her old baby things and plays with them

Using the furniture as a personal playground

Baking:) mmmmmmmm

Little Bailey hardly ever plays with toys...so she always has to do what I'm doing--baking, folding clothes, etc. She loves to "help" It's usual a bigger mess and hassle but it's fun to have a little cooking buddy:)

Taking Care of Baby

Potty Training

Bailey has done so awesome with potty training! It really was about a month of H*ll, but now she is fully potty trained and loves to wear her Blue's Clues panties and "go" on her princess potty.
